No idea how it's doing on the other streams, but for indie artists — (whether they'll admit it or not — and granted, it's a false benchmark anyway born from the way the platform tallies streams) — the Spotify threshold you aim to cross is 1,000.

So, we're grateful. Very, very grateful.

The song was inspired by many things: Buffalo's blue-collar culture, the looming shadow but dwindling presence of the Catholic Church in the city, Buffalo's struggle with homelessness and poverty, and of course, the many, many, many bars in our home town.
