After taking just about the entire summer off, Sin Lung regrouped Aug. 31 for a show at the Galactic Panther art gallery in Alexandria, Va..
What a cool place. It was a privilege to share the stage with DC-indie band Unring the Bell and Maryland's Garbage Masher. It was also cool to watch Joe pull double duty, opening the night with Sin Lung and then playing another fullset with UTB, of which he is also part.
Going into the show, there was a lot of uncertainty. We hadn't even been in the same room together for nearly three months, and in fact, the night of the show was the first time Matt had seen Ben since June 8.
But somehow the gig turned out to be one of our best sets yet. Strange how that works.
Next up for us is the Southern Pa. Metal Fest on Sept. 21 in Hanover Pa. We can't wait to
join the roster of bands that day and we look forward to throwing bags of pretzels from the nearby Utz factory at the crowd.
And, now that the summer break is over, we also plan to have new music released before year's end.
Peace.
